Nutanix Acropolis allows for the seamless expansion of clusters by adding more nodes at anytime. This feature is both hardware and hypervisor agnostic, meaning you could add 1 node, or 20, to an existing cluster at once with no downtime. The ability to easily expand is a powerful reason many organizations chose to leverage Nutanix... the expansion process even takes care of imaging nodes with the correct hypervisor (AHV, ESXi, and Hyper-V)!
Once the expansion is complete all compute, network, and storage resources in the new nodes are available to the entire cluster. So workloads can take advantage of the additional resources.
